What I find is very similar to backups: No DBCC CHECKDBs performed at all DBCC CHECKDBs being performed only on select databases DBCC CHECKDBs last performed months or years ago. For SQL Server 2008R – 2014, you could lower this threshold using trace flag 2371. Worst case is a job scheduled reporting failed DBCC CHECKDBs.

As indicated, SQL Server 2016 added the use of SSE and AVX instructions in various code paths to improve performance. SQL Server asks the CPU if it supports SSE or AVX in order to determine the level of hardware support present on the system. This can make it difficult to draw sound performance-tuning conclusions. The clock keeps running at the same rate even during sleep.

Linux has been adding tracing technologies over the years: kprobes (kernel dynamic tracing), uprobes (user-level dynamic tracing), tracepoints (static tracing), and perf_events (profiling and hardware counters). As a performance engineer who does kernel tracing, I find the lack of an ID I can trace in the kernel to be pretty annoying.
