Based in the Paris area, the region will provide even lower latency and will allow users who want to store their content in datacenters in France to easily do so. As a result, we have opened 35 Availability Zones (AZs), across 13 AWS Regions worldwide. The new region in France will be ready for customers to use in 2017.

The new AWS EU (Stockholm) Region will have three Availability Zones and will be ready for customers to use in 2018. As a result, we have opened 42 Availability Zones across 16 AWS Regions worldwide. This enables customers to serve content to their end users with low latency, giving them the best application experience.
