HTML, CSS, images, and fonts can all be parsed and run at near wire speeds on low-end hardware, but JavaScript is at least three times more expensive, byte-for-byte. Counterpoint data shows declining sales in both 2022 and 2023. For topological reasons I expect next year's report to show similar progress in bandwidth but not RTTs.
