My personal opinion is that I don't see a widespread need for more capacity given horizontal scaling and servers that can already exceed 1 Tbyte of DRAM; bandwidth is also helpful, but I'd be concerned about the increased latency for adding a hop to more memory. Ford, et al., “TCP

HTML, CSS, images, and fonts can all be parsed and run at near wire speeds on low-end hardware, but JavaScript is at least three times more expensive, byte-for-byte. India's speed test medians are moving quickly, but variance is orders-of-magnitude wide, with 5G penetration below 25% in the most populous areas.

This limitation is at the database level rather than the hardware level, nevertheless with up to date hardware (from mid-2018) PostgreSQL on a 2 socket system can be expected to deliver more than 2M PostgreSQL TPM and 1M NOPM with the HammerDB TPC-C test. . CPUs which run at the same hardware frequency: 0. Latency: 0.
