We developed a friendly competition to break one another’s code. We are a bit wiser (you could take that as older) now and we don’t wait until 5 o’clock but we still try everything we can think of to exercise the code. As a support professional I need to get in gear, I have 100s of support engineers too ready for SQL Server on Linux.

SQL Server also supports XA based transactions but has no code in the SQL Server engine to engage in XA transactions. MSDTC can also be used as the XA TM if so desired (see example code at end of this post.). There is a technique that can be used with SQL Server (Windows, Azure or Linux) to support some DTC capabilities.
