To reach those goals, Shell in 2010 began using AWS. Shell leverages AWS for big data analytics to help achieve these goals.

So when we launched in January 2012, we provided simple query functionality that used hash primary keys or composite primary keys (hash + range). When designing a new application that will operate in the AWS cloud, first take a look at DynamoDB when selecting a database. Since then, we have been working on adding flexible querying.
