At Netflix, we've been using these technologies as they've been made available for instance types in the AWS EC2 cloud. I'd expect between 0.1% small (thanks @cperciva ). ## 3.

We designed DynamoDB to operate with at least 99.999% availability. We started with Amazon Dynamo, a simple key-value store that was built to be highly available and scalable to power various mission-critical applications in Amazon’s e-commerce platform. We switched to storing our game data in DynamoDB, which alleviated our scaling problems while also freeing us from the burden of managing all the underlying hardware and software.
