Another big jump, but now it was my job to run benchmarks in the lab, and write white papers that explained the new products to the world, as they were launched. This approach can be expressed in more formal way by the following equation: where is the data available for analysis, is the space of a retailer’s actions and decisions, is an econometric model defined as a function of actions and data, and is the optimal strategy. This framework resembles the approach suggested in [JK98].
