I spent years as a cloud customer where I couldn't access many HW-level things.) Here's my guesses: 2029: Ubuntu and Fedora release new versions with SFrames for OS components (including libc) and ditches frame pointers again. I haven't used it. (I DWARF : Binary debuginfo, has been used forever with debuggers.
