Serverless at re:Invent 2017

One of the most significant announcements of the entire conference to me was that of per-function concurrency control. Correspondingly, 3GB functions should see a 2x CPU performance improvement over 1.5GB Lambdas, but this is through doubling the number of cores the function has access to, rather than double the virtualized time-slices.
