Percona Monitoring and Management 2.39.0
Percona Monitoring and Management 2.39.0 was released on August 14, 2023. It is an open source database monitoring, management, and observability solution for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Highlights in this release include:
MongoDB backups: UI-based restore on a new replica set cluster
Building on the recent MongoDB backup management enhancements, we have now added the option to restore backups on different clusters with the same configuration.
Query Analytics – Meta information
QAN is an important tool that can help filter data and identify problematic queries. However, it can be challenging to determine which services, nodes, and other labels are linked to these queries. PMM 2.39.0 now includes a metadata table for QAN to address this issue. This table contains information such as Node name, Node name, Service name, Service type, and user name for each selected query.

Percona Server for MySQL 5.7.43-47
Percona Server for MySQL 5.7.43-47 was released on August 17, 2023. It includes all the features and bug fixes available in MySQL 5.7.43 Community Edition, in addition to enterprise-grade features developed by Percona. Improvements and bug fixes provided by Oracle for MySQL 5.7.43 and included in Percona Server for MySQL is that the OpenSSL 1.1.1 library has been upgraded to OpenSSL 3.0.9.

Percona Distribution for MongoDB 6.0.8
On August 8, 2023, we released Percona Distribution for MongoDB 6.0.8. It is a freely available MongoDB database alternative, giving you a single solution that combines enterprise components from the open source community, designed and tested to work together. It includes Percona Server for MongoDB and Percona Backup for MongoDB. Bug fixes and improvements introduced in MongoDB and included in Percona Distribution for MongoDB include the ability to configure AWS STS endpoint, enablement of automatic of retry time series insert on DuplicateKey error, and automated Point-in-time recovery from physical backups. Percona XtraBackup 8.0.34-29
Percona XtraBackup 8.0.34-29 was released on August 21, 2023. It is a 100% open source backup solution for all versions of Percona Server for MySQL and MySQL that performs online non-blocking, tightly compressed, highly secure full backups on transactional systems. An improvement in this release is that the ZSTD compression algorithm is moved to General Availability and becomes the default compression algorithm for the --compress option.
