Percona Monitoring and Management 2.41.0 was released on December 12, 2023. It is an open source database monitoring, management, and observability solution for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. A release highlight is that to improve the gathering and sharing of PMM metrics and data, we’ve now integrated the pmm_dump client utility into PMM. Initially a standalone client for PMM Server, PMM Dump is now accessible in the PMM user interface. This integration enables you to collect PMM data to share with our Support team.

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 14.10 was released on December 5, 2023. Percona XtraBackup 8.2.0-1
Percona XtraBackup 8.2.0-1 was released on December 12, 2023. It is a 100% open source backup solution for all versions of Percona Server for MySQL and MySQL that performs online non-blocking, tightly compressed, highly secure full backups on transactional systems. Maintain fully available applications during planned maintenance windows with Percona XtraBackup.
Release highlights include:
- Percona XtraBackup 8.2.0-1 is based on MySQL 8.2 and fully supports the Percona Server for MySQL 8.2 Innovation series and the MySQL 8.2 Innovation series. This release allows taking backups of Percona Server 8.2.0-1 and MySQL 8.2.
- Use the Percona XtraBackup 8.0 series to take backups of Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.x or MySQL 8.0.x. Percona XtraBackup 8.2.0-1 does not take a backup of the Percona Server for MySQL 8.0 or the MySQL 8.0.x series.

Percona Xtrabackup 2.4.29
Percona Xtrabackup 2.4.29 was released on December 18, 2023. Percona XtraBackup 2.4.29 is the final release of the Percona XtraBackup 2.4 series. This release merges the MySQL 5.7.44 code base. This release does not contain new improvements or new bug fixes from Percona. We recommend that you either upgrade to MySQL 8.0 or stay on 5.7

Percona Distribution for MongoDB 7.0.4 was released on December 11, 2023. It is a freely available MongoDB database alternative, giving you a single solution that combines enterprise components from the open source community, designed and tested to work together. The aim of Percona Distribution for MongoDB is to enable you to run and operate your MongoDB efficiently with the data being consistently backed up. Release highlights include:
- AWS IAM authentication is now generally available, enabling you to use this functionality in production environments.
- Added the ability to configure the retry behavior for Percona Server for MongoDB to connect to the KMIP server when using data-at-rest encryption

Percona Distribution for MongoDB 6.0.12
Percona Distribution for MongoDB 6.0.12 was released on December 14, 2023. This release is based on PostgreSQL 11.22. A release highlight is the fix of the routing issue with sharded time series collections which could result in metadata inconsistency. The issue occurred when the documents that have the shard key containing the embedded object composed of multiple fields are routed to an incorrect shard and become orphanated. As a result orphanated documents may not be returned when queried through the mongos and/or may be deleted. The issue affects time series sharded collections starting in MongoDB version 5.0.6 through versions 5.0.21, 6.0.11 and 7.0.2.
