A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness 5 ⁄ 5 I hate to admit it, but I still occasionally find myself ignoring a novel when I see the “Young Adult” label attached to it. It’s a silly thing to do, as many incredibly gifted authors have pointed out time and time again. A Monster Calls reminded me just how ridiculous this label is.
